When playing tournament poker I always remember, "what goes around comes around !"

I was in a 45 player tournament the other night and had  notes on a particular player, "erratic betting, likes to chase".  This player was to my right so I thought if the right situation came up it could be very lucrative for me.

Several times while he was on the button or cutoff he would raise.  I knew he was raising with mediocore hands but unless I had a strong hand I was not going to get involved.

About 4 orbits into the tournament I had KsKc in the sb and everyone folds to the button who raises it up 3x.  I hesitate and than double his bet.  The bb folds and the button calls right away ... I knew he would because his type sometimes take reraises offensively, almost like a personal insult ?  Its hard to take poker personnally but I can see how emotion plays a part in the game.  I can also see how you can use that to your advantage.

The flop brings 7s Kh 9h.  My opponent bets out half the pot.  I reraise to put him all in and he instacalls.  He got 7h Jc ...  I knew it !  I've got him crushed !

Two hearts hit the board and all of a sudden I'm 2nd last in chips and of course to make matters worse he insults me in the chat box.  Man this one hurt !

He raised me the next 2 orbits and I hesitated before folding both times just to make him think I was afraid to enter a hand with him ... then this hand came up.

I was dealt AK and of course the button did his 3x raise.  I just call and the bb folds.  The flop is K J 7.  He puts me all in and of course i call.  He has a pair of 5's and I double up.

The very next orbit he makes a 5x bet.  You see, I get this guy.  He's steaming from our last encounter and he's playing with emotion.  I have QQ.  I wait again ... and cut to the chase, the time is right ... I'm all in !  He instacalls again as I knew he would.  He has Q 10 and no suck out !

A couple of plays later he's sent to the rail and a few lol's hit the chat box from some of the other players.

Patience pays off ... eventually !
